Tim Duncan and his witty remarks are back at it again, as he playfully rips teammate Danny Green.

Tim Duncan has been the face of the Spurs franchise for years and is now in the process of passing the torch to the younger guys on the team. Duncan, in an interview with NBA.com senior writer David Aldridge, says that the new core of Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Danny Green are primed to carry the team once he retires.

Duncan had some fun while doing the interview and said that the only way the Spurs are going to continue their success is if sharp shooter Danny Green stops sucking.

"“We’ve got a good core here. We’ve got a good bunch of young guys. And, obviously (we’re) adding L.A. to that. As long as Danny stops sucking and Kawhi is obviously on his way up and is going to be incredible, there’s going to be a good team here for a long time. We’ve done that over the years. The organization has continued to put people into place where they’re coming along, and there’s no lull in what we do.”"

What makes this quote even funnier is that Green was reportedly sitting next to Duncan when the interview was taking place.

Duncan was clearly having some fun with his teammate, although Green is currently shooting just 21.4 percent from three-point land and he’s contributed just 40 points through the Spurs’ first six games of the season.

Maybe these friendly but funny comments by Duncan will get Green out of his slump.
