Andre Miller nearly stole a ball from Stephen Curry, but he recovered immediately with a big three pointer, for his 32nd point of the night.

Stephen Curry shocked the world Wednesday night with a crazy three pointer from nearly half-court. Tonight, he hasn’t hit anything that crazy, but he’s still showing the world why he was the MVP last season.

Late in the third quarter, Andre Miller was leading the Minnesota Timberwolves, trying to play shut-down defense on Curry. Surprisingly, it worked, and he got the ball out of Curry’s hands, forcing him to bounce the ball off of his foot, in a very non-Curry fashion. He recovered, though, and heaved up a three from a few feet beyond the arc. It went in, and at this point it’s hardly even a surprise.

Plays like this really go to show that you can’t guard a player like Curry. No matter how tight you play your defense, he can recover, and he can make you pay for any setback you’ve caused to him.

This was Curry’s fifth three pointer on the night, and on the very next Golden State Warriors‘ possession, he hit his sixth three. At the end of the third quarter Curry had 35 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Curry is quickly stating his case for yet another MVP season. There’s no other player doing what Curry does right now, and the ball is literally in Curry’s court. So far this season he’s dominating averaging 31.9 points, and 5.8 assists per game. The Warriors went into Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves with a 10-0 record.
