Danny Amendola has become the latest casualty in the Patriots’ laundry list of injuries.

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has stepped up as quarterback Tom Brady’s favorite weapon since Julian Edelman went down with a season-ending leg injury. However, it has become “easy come, easy go” for the Patriots as Amendola has also suffered an injury. He was seen leaving the field with a knee injury in the third quarter. He is questionable to return, according to SB Nation.

Amendola rewarded fantasy football players with a solid outing, as he caught nine passes for 117 yards to soften the blow of losing Edelman. However, fantasy owners and the Patriots offense may be left scrambling once again if Amendola’s injury history is to be considered. He has missed 26 career games since 2009.

Amendola was never able to stay healthy with the St. Louis Rams, and his time with the Patriots has not been much different. Unless Amendola can recover from his injury, Brady will have lost three of his top targets.

Running back Dion Lewis is out for the season with a knee injury, but tight end Rob Gronkowski has managed to stay healthy throughout the season.

However, he is clearly feeling the absence of other weapons as he has been relatively quiet.

The Patriots are on track to improve to 10-0 if they can hold on for the win against a tough Bills defense, but their status as Super Bowl favorites may take a hit if their receiving corps cannot get healthy. It is never wise to count out Brady though.
