Should Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles part ways after the season, what head coaching candidates should the Eagles consider?

The 2015 season has just not gone the way that the Philadelphia Eagles had envisioned. Whether it’s injuries or instability with the roster, the Philadelphia Eagles are on the fast lane to imploding before the 2015 season even ends.

After Sam Bradford got hurt a couple of weeks ago, it’s felt like a nightmare scenario all over for the Eagles again as Mark Sanchez has been thrust back into duty to try and save the season from getting away from the Eagles. While the NFC East is never over until someone runs away with it– and to this point no one hasn’t, the Eagles haven’t really given any indication for anyone to believe that they are going to make a run this season at a division crown.

Even worse, fans are worried about the future state of their roster. In Chip Kelly’s three years at the helm of the Eagles, the team has been molded into his image, as he tries to bring his uptempo style to the NFL. However with the struggles of 2015, Kelly’s future in Philadelphia isn’t as certain as people once believed, whether or not because of the failures of the Eagles, or rampant rumors of Kelly being on the outs.

Regardless of what is the case with the Philadelphia Eagles, there’s something that isn’t right and it doesn’t appear that Chip Kelly isn’t going to be around much longer with the Eagles. When ESPN’s Adam Schefter went on SiriusXM radio to talk about the Eagles and Chip Kelly, he dropped a bombshell that left everyone talking, when Schefter stated that Chip Kelly and the Eagles’ management are absolutely sick of each other.

"The momentum and signs seem to be piling up against a Chip return to Philadelphia. I think both sides are sick of each other. I think the fans are tired of him, I think he’s tired of the situation there – just my read from afar … I just think that Chip Kelly, if given a choice, might be comfortable elsewhere …"

This certainly beginning to look like a road that is slowly coming to it’s end. Add in the potential opening in Tennessee in the off-season, where Marcus Mariota is the quarterback– and that only fuels the speculation that Kelly could very well have one foot out the door.

However that leaves the Eagles in a bind, as their roster has been blown to shreds in the last three seasons and now they will have to search for a brand new head coach, who will surely want to do a makeover of his own to the roster that Kelly has created.

So who should the Eagles consider for their next head coach? It has to be one that can take a proud franchise and put them on the winning track immediately. Here are five candidates that the Philadelphia Eagles should consider for their next head coach if they and Chip Kelly part ways.
