According to a report, Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray doesn’t feel that Chip Kelly kept his promises.

Even though the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off the big upset on the road against the New England Patriots and are still in the NFC East playoff race, things aren’t all smiles for the Eagles. One person in particular that doesn’t have much of a smile these days is running back DeMarco Murray.

Murray, who signed a large deal with the Eagles as a free agent in the off-season, has not had the same production for the Eagles that he had in his prior season with the Dallas Cowboys. Despite not having the same production, Murray isn’t happy with his head coach Chip Kelly, and believes that Kelly has broken promises to him.

According to Ed Werder of ESPN, Murray thinks Kelly hasn’t held up his promises in the recruiting process and that he’s not a fit in Kelly’s style of offense.

"Ed Werder of ESPN reports that Murray, who sat down with Lurie to air grievances on the team flight home from Sunday’s win at New England, believes that Kelly has broken the promises that Kelly made to him during the free agent recruiting process.According to the report, Murray thinks he isn’t a good fit in Kelly’s offense and that changes haven’t been made to accommodate Murray’s running style. Murray thinks it’s “strange” that he didn’t play much on Sunday."

There’s absolutely no denying that Murray hasn’t been what the Eagles hoped they were getting when they signed him. He has struggled to run the ball and hasn’t been living up to the contract that he signed with him. It’s clear to him, that he doesn’t feel it’s because of his talent, but because of his head coach.

While Kelly may not survive after the season in Philadelphia, which remains to be seen, it’s becoming clear by the day that one of the two might not be there next season. With Kelly only being in his first year with actual complete control over the roster, he might get another year.

Murray however, might be the one out as the Eagles can release him to save money.
