Tyvon Branch scores 73-yard fumble recovery (Video)
Tyvon Branch has just scored a 73 yard fumble recovery touchdown for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ defense is rolling, and so far, it looks as though they haven’t slowed down, after safety Tyvon Branch recovered a Buck Allen fumble 73 yards for the touchdown.
After two impressive opening drives from both offenses, the game was in flux. Alex Smith and his Chiefs waltzed down the field on their first series, culminating in a Charcandrick West touchdown run.
However, the Baltimore Ravens’ offense matched the Chiefs, walking right back up the other end, tying the game up at 7-7. After a quick three-and-out for Kansas City, the Ravens’ offense was once again moving the ball well, with Kamar Aiken making a nice play to put them into Chiefs’ territory. This was where the drive ended as Allen, the rookie running back replacing the injured Justin Forsett, fumbled the ball, which was speedily recovered by Branch.
Branch then showed some serious speed in out running Baltimore receivers to take the ball the length of the field for the touchdown. After a successful extra point by Cairo Santos, the Chiefs sit with a 14-7 lead, looking for their eighth straight win. It was another fantastic play from Branch, who also had an impressive pick-six against the Oakland Raiders two weeks ago.
His athleticism has been noticed by the Chiefs, after signing in the offseason from the Raiders themselves, and his playmaking ability has been on show all season long, and he has shown his talent once again with this impressive play.
