Jazz guard Alec Burks skied for a ferocious one-handed jam over Suns forward Jon Leuer

Alec Burks has proven to be quite a valuable role player for the Utah Jazz over his career particularly this season. While he has always played the role of scorer coming off of the bench well, his performance in the absence of Dante Exum this season has been enormously important. Even still, I’m not sure anyone knew he was capable of doing what he did to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.

In the fourth quarter with the Jazz already dismantling the Suns, Burks had the ball and drove to the hoop from the left wing. He took off toward the rim and just kept rising over top Suns forward Jon Leuer until the Jazz guard was throwing down a monstrous one-handed jam that just destroyed Leuer and the Suns as a whole:

Blowing out a team to the tune of 100-79 is mean. Dunking on someone like that is meaner. Dunking like that on a team when you’re up 100-79 is just the most evil thing any NBA player has ever done. Burks is just out here bullying the Suns throwing that kind of dunk down (even if his hand may or may not have actually touched the rim).

Again, I don’t know how many people knew that Burks had those kind of hops and that kind of dunk in him—but Leuer and the Suns certainly know now.
