The Broncos prevailed over the Bengals in overtime after a botched snap to clinch the playoffs.

The Denver Broncos overcame a badly missed field goal at the end of regulation and defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, 20-17, in overtime. Bengals quarterback A.J. McCarron was unable to recover a bad snap, and Broncos outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware recovered the ball to win the game for the Broncos. Here is a video of this game-ending play.

The Broncos clinched a playoff berth with their win and improved their record to 11-4. The Bengals fell to 11-4 with this heartbreaking loss, and they are now in jeopardy of losing a first-round bye. The Broncos only need to beat the San Diego Chargers to join the New England Patriots for a first-round bye. They nearly blew the game after kicker Brandon McManus missed a field goal at the end of regulation that would have won the game.

However, McManus redeemed himself with an overtime field goal before the vaunted Broncos defense completed their strong finish. The Bengals scored 14 points in the first quarter before their offense fizzled out the rest of the game.
