Twitter blew up over the Michigan State Spartans‘ neon green uniforms that they wore against the Maryland Terrapins.

The Michigan State Spartans caught the eye of everyone on Saturday night when they came out wearing neon green uniforms against the Maryland Terrapins at home. The uniforms were certainly one of the boldest in college basketball yet and the players were covered in the neon green from head to toe.

With such a bold and brash look in uniform design, it was all anybody could talk about at the beginning of the game when it tipped off. It was hard for people to pay attention to the action on the court, as their eyes were naturally draw into the neon green that the players had on.

Even some fans in the first few sections were wearing neon green shirts, which made the neon green look even more over the top. As is the case with things like this, Twitter absolutely blew up with fan reaction to Michigan State’s crazy new uniforms.

To say the least, people were either one side of the coin or the other. As we have learned from Oregon in football, either people love the uniforms or they hate them.

Neon is always destined to get a reaction and Michigan State’s uniforms certainly didn’t disappoint in that regard.
