Denver Broncos safety Darian Stewart rocked Carolina Panthers fullback Mike Tolbert and forced a fumble.

The Denver Broncos have been hitting the Carolina Panthers hard on defense all day at Super Bowl 50. After Von Miller forced a Cam Newton fumble that led to a touchdown early in the game, safety Darian Stewart was the next man to step up on defense for the Broncos.

With the Panthers starting to drive after a Broncos field goal, fullback Mike Tolbert got out in open space and got absolutely rocked by Stewart.

Stewart got his helmet on the football and forced Tolbert to fumble the football at a very crucial time late in the first half.

Denver’s defensive unit has been as aggressive as possible in the first half, with the team going for knockout blows early and often. It’s gotten them into some trouble with multiple personal fouls, but it’s also set the tone for the game and has given them the advantage early against the Panthers.

Stewart did a good job of targeting the football and it turned into a huge momentum shift for the Broncos. The Panthers have done a good job this year of protecting the football, but the Broncos are putting that to the test early.
