A Kristaps Porzingis fan wore a unicorn mask to the NBA All-Star Rising Stars Challenge and stole the show

There probably isn’t a more rapidly rising star in terms of fame in the NBA than New York Knicks rookie big man Kristaps Porzingis. Since just last summer when he was drafted, he’s gone from a little-known Latvian prospect to an undeniable sensation throughout the league. If you ever needed any evidence of that, the fan at the 2016 NBA All-Star Rising Stars Challenge wearing a Porzingis shirt and a unicorn mask is more than enough.

With Porzingis competing as a member of the World Team in the Rising Stars Challenge, the camera cut to the crowd to see a fan of the rookie wearing a shirt that read “GODZINGIS” while the fan also happened to be wearing a unicorn mask:

This is the weirdest, most delightful thing that you’ll ever see at a basketball game. If this is what happens when the NBA takes All-Star weekend to Canada, let’s go north of the border every year.

The unicorn mask isn’t quite as random as you might think, either. Porzingis’ Knicks teammate in Carmelo Anthony described the rookie as a unicorn earlier this season, meaning that he’s just a rare talent in this league and something that seemingly could only be imagined. Yet here is Porzingis and, more importantly, the Kristaps Porzingis unicorn fan.
