The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly interested in acquiring Miles Plumlee from the Bucks.

We are just days away from the NBA trade deadline, which means the rumor mill is going to be churning at rapid pace. While the Cavaliers, Heat and Knicks have all been rumored to be involved in big deals, there are other trades that might happen on a smaller but still notable scale.

One of those deals might involve the Minnesota Timberwolves trading for Miles Plumlee.

According to Chris Broussard (I know) from ESPN, the Wolves have kicked the tires on the idea of acquiring Miles Plumlee from the Bucks.

It’s hard to see this being that great of a deal for either the Bucks or Wolves — even less so for Minnesota. Ricky Rubio is on the block and this could be a deal that involves him. Milwaukee would likely have to give up Michael Carter-Williams along with Plumlee, which isn’t return that sets Minnesota on fire in the West.

Milwaukee acquired Plumlee at the deadline last year, and moving on from him after a year doesn’t seem to fit the mold that the team is trying to win now with the team they have. That being said, if the Bucks don’t think they have a winning roster as it stands now, then moving Plumlee makes sense.

That being said, it’s at least intriguing that the Wolves are looking at potential deals, which is more than we’ve been able to say in years past.
