Welcome to the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, which everybody gets really excited about for no reason at all.

The combine basically gives kids a chance to fail with only a few really moving up the draft board. The athlete gives four years of great tape, runs a crappy 40-yard dash, and suddenly he is worthless. Good times.

Then, the interview process is simply ludicrous. Apparently, one player has already been asked if he finds his mother attractive, according to

Pro Football Talk

. What is the point of that question? Is the player going to throw the football better or run faster because he thinks his mom is ugly? Is he going to sack the quarterback or notch a few more interceptions if he thinks his mom has it going on?

Teams should have to disclose their questions to the NFL offices, and only then can they go ahead with this nonsense. With commissioner Roger Goodell, they might all get approval anyway, but at least it is one more layer for this garbage to go through. We should all hope that these kids can get through this week without needing therapy.

On April 28, all these players will sit down and watch the first round of the NFL Draft, hoping to be picked. Except when the guy who asked them about the hotness of their mother is picking.
