When is March Madness Selection Sunday 2016?

As we exit the month of February, many people are probably wondering when we will find out the March Madness field?

To say that this college basketball season here in 2015-16 has been wild would frankly be an understatement. This has been one of the more exciting regular seasons in college basketball in quite some time, which more than likely means that we’re headed for one heck of a ride when the postseason rolls around.

Yes, the NCAA Tournament and March Madness this year should definitely bring us all the craziness, and as we all know, that starts with one of the more anticipated sporting events of the year on television — Selection Sunday.

Selection Sunday has really become one of the more watched television programs of the entire year, just not in sports. Everyone wants to know what the field for the NCAA Tournament will look like, and on Selection Sunday all of the regions are unveiled to us and the programs live on national television thanks to the folks at CBS. All college basketball fans around the country just cannot wait to fill out their respective brackets for their pools, and on Selection Sunday they’re able to do just that.

With that being said, and with us entering the month of March, you’re probably wondering just when Selection Sunday will be taking palce this year.

Well, this season Selection Sunday will be on March 13, following the conclusion of the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game, as usual. It will once again air on CBS and it will get started at 5:30 p.m. ET. And as an added bonus, the Selection Sunday show on CBS will now run two hours as opposed to an hour, showing just how large this event has gotten.
