The Navy Midshipmen officially retired Keenan Reynolds’ jersey in a ceremony on Sunday night.

Keenan Reynolds will forever go down as one of the greatest players to ever play college football. He set the NCAA Division I record with 88 touchdowns in his career as the Navy Midshipmen’s quarterback and a record 4,559 rushing yards by a quarterback.

In his final game as Navy’s quarterback, Reynolds led the Midshipmen to a win over the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Military Bowl. It was a great close to a great career for Reynolds. With all the success and accolades that Reynolds accumulated, he was honored by Navy on Sunday night.

Reynolds officially had his No. 19 jersey retired at the Navy banquet.

There’s very few athletes in the country that have the character of Reynolds and his abilities at quarterback will be hard to duplicate. He wasn’t just able to run for touchdowns, he also had a good arm and could find his receivers down the field.

He took Navy to the next level and they were able to compete with anyone that they were matched up against. Just when a defense thought he would pass, he would run. When they thought he would run, he would pass. That just speaks to the talent of Reynolds.

With a great career at Navy, comes a fitting ending.
