The New York Jets are hosting free agent offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum, who the Pittsburgh Steelers hope will re-sign with the team.

As free agency continues across the NFL, players who didn’t take advantage of the money frenzy the first two days are still hoping to get paid while taking visits to new teams (possibly trying to squeeze more money out of the their former squads).

One of those players is offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum. After spending the last four years playing left tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Beachum is now a free agent and shopping around for a potential new landing spot. One of the places Beachum is looking at is New York, where he will soon be paying the Jets a visit:

After starting just seven games his first season with the Steelers, Beachum cracked the starting lineup in 2013, where he was one of the main linemen for 15 games that season and all 16 games in 2014. Beachum went down with an ACL injury six games into the 2015 season and missed the rest of the year while recovering.

The New York Jets are looking for a replacement for offensive tackle Ben Ijalana, who they think will depart during this free agency period. The Steelers are hoping to keep at least one of their free agents at the tackle position, with both Beachum and Byron Stingily on the open market.
