With 2016 Opening Day in Major League Baseball just around the corner, let’s look at the five teams that are the favorites to win the 2016 World Series.

2016 Opening Day is only a few weeks away and all 30 MLB franchises are excited for what the 2016 MLB season has in store. For some teams, 2016 brings a lot of optimism, as several clubs can and will contend for a World Series Championship.

Every year, roughly 10 teams can honestly convince themselves that they have a legitimate shot at winning a Fall Classic. 25 will believe that they can make the MLB postseason. Then there are the other five teams that are doomed from the start of the new season, with almost no hope to contend for much of anything that year.

Looking at the short list of teams that have the best shot at winning it all in October, each of these five contending organizations have certain attributes in place that are conducive to winning in the postseason: strong starting pitching, dominating bullpens, a healthy mix of veteran stars and newcomers on the rise, previous postseason experience, and above all great team chemistry.

Will any of these five following teams go on to win the 2016 World Series? Potentially, but entering the finals weeks of 2016 MLB Spring Training, here are the five franchises that are the most likely to bring a World Series Championship to their respective city in 2016.
