No. 2 BYU Cougars vs. No. 1 Valparaiso Crusaders
After multiple rounds, the NIT finally heads to Madison Square Garden. Every year, the final four teams left standing travel to the most famous arena to battle for the tournament crown. On Tuesday, four teams will battle to become two and set up the NIT Finals.
The first game on Tuesday, will be between the No. 2 BYU Cougars and the No. 1 Valparaiso Crusdaers. The Crusaders are looking to win the NIT and show the NCAA selection committee that they got it wrong by leaving them out of the NCAA Tournament.
They will turn to Alec Peters, the team’s leading scorer, to lead them to victory over a tough BYU squad. Chase Fischer and the Cougars like to get out and run the basketball, but the Crusaders are a team that will be up for the challenge on Tuesday night.
