San Diego Chargers’ 2016 NFL schedule released
By Mike Dyce
The San Diego Chargers’ 2016 schedule has been released and you can see it in its entirety here.
The San Diego Chargers haven’t been able to gain any traction lately, finishing 4-12 and at the bottom of the AFC West division. But with a new season comes renewed optimism of a better year.
Unfortunately, that might not be in the cards for the Chargers. While the Broncos will be considerably weaker than last season’s team, the Oakland Raiders are rising and the Kansas City Chiefs are a playoff team looking to make a deep run in the postseason.
That being said, the Chargers have some favorable schedule points. They host the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins at home, and those are all teams with losing records in 2015. They have a tougher road schedule, with dates against the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers. While they play the lowly Cleveland Browns, they face tough opponents in the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans as well.
That being said, if the Chargers can win at home they could have a solid 2016 campaign and finish above .500 and in contention for a playoff spot.
