Brandon Browner is rejoining the Legion of Boom as he’ll be returning to the Seahawks

The Legion of Boom for the Seattle Seahawks will be getting one of their members back in the fold, as Brandon Browner will be heading back out west.

According to a report from Adam Schefter, Browner and the Seahawks have agreed to a deal that will put him back in a Seahawks uniform this coming season, reuniting him with the rest of that vaunted defensive backfield.

Browner played with the Seahawks from 2011-13, and was an integral part in making the Seahawks one of the more feared defensive backfields in the game of football as they charged to the huge Super Bowl win over the Denver Broncos. However, he did not play in that Super Bowl win as he was suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. This violation, while originally thought to be indefinite, was reduced to four games.

In 2014 he would move on to the New England Patriots where he indeed would get the chance to feel Super Bowl glory, helping the Pats capture another ring while destroying his former team’s hopes for a repeat in the process. The Patriots, however, did not pick up the option on his three-year deal and he’d play with the New Orleans Saints in 2015. On March 10, the Saints released Browner and he was off to free agency, making this reunion possible.

Browner, in his career, has tallied 187 total tackles and 12 interceptions.
