WWE Payback 2016: Vince McMahon gives both Shane and Stephanie control of RAW (Video)

Vince McMahon gave both Shane and Stephanie control of Monday Night RAW at WWE Payback 2016

Despite the fact that Shane McMahon lost to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, Shane had been running RAW every week since the biggest show of the year for the company. However, that all could’ve come to an end on Sunday night at WWE Payback as the chairman of the company was slated to make his decision as to whether Shane or Stephanie McMahon would be in control of the show.

Vince was the first one out to talk about the decision that he had to make (he was met by thunderous “CM Punk” chants for most of his time out) before Stephanie McMahon came out to make her case at WWE Payback.

Though she talked a bit about herself, much of what Stephanie had to say revolved around Shane’s leaving the company once before and saying that he’d “stab everyone in the back” again if he were to get control. She also said that his dive off Hell in a Cell at Mania was a sign of how reckless he is.

Shane then came out to a big reaction and really spoke about that reaction. He basically said that he was a man of the people and that the people and media were all in favor of him taking the helm at RAW because he was simply doing a better job. He also addressed leaving the company, saying that he and Vince just couldn’t see eye-to-eye then, but hoped that didn’t affect the decision at WWE Payback.

Vince was then ready to make his decision, which was really not much of a decision at all. Vince said that he wanted to see his two children fight for it, therefore he was putting both of them in charge of RAW:

This obviously makes storylines going forward look quite interesting. Hopefully they go somewhere good with this.
