Carlos Santana played the National Anthem on guitar before Game 2 of the NBA Finals and did an epic job at it.

Before Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, the Warriors pulled all the stops.

Not only did they have a great pregame introduction for the defending champs, they also had legendary guitarist Carlos Santana play the national anthem on his electric guitar.

That might not be quite as legendary as Jimi Hendrix’s famous instrumental version of the National Anthem, but it was still quite good. Santana even added a bit of his patented smooth touch to it. He did the national anthem justice.

Santana is perhaps most famous for his time as the lead guitarist of the band Santana. He saw a recent revival in the 1990’s and 2000’s thanks to his compilations with such artists as Rob Thomas and Michelle Branch. During his career, he has won 10 Grammys. He received eight of them due to his Supernatural album at the 2000 Grammy’s.

Judging by that national anthem, he’s still got it.
