The Boston Celtics should target these 10 players with their draft picks in the 2016 NBA Draft.

The Boston Celtics returned to the playoffs last season and with a variety of young talented players, many believe that the Celtics will soon be contending for supremacy in the Eastern Conference very soon.

Things get even better for the Celtics, as they have a ton of future assets, because of the hard work of general manager Danny Ainge. With the amount of picks that the Celtics have going forward, they are expected to move some and cash in on a big player sooner or later that can put them over the top in the Eastern Conference.

They will likely aim to make that splash during the 2016 NBA Draft, where the Celtics currently possess eight draft picks. Five of those draft picks are second-round picks, while three of them are first-round picks.

With the amount of young talent already on the Celtics’ roster, it’s hard to see them bringing in more than two or three rookies to the roster. That means the assets they hold are likely to be on the move and some of these picks could be packaged into a player or more future assets for a team that is desperate to pick up a pick this season.

That’s the beauty of what Danny Ainge has done in Boston. He can take some of these picks he might not plan on using and leverage them into even more assets to keep them flexible for a very long time.

Still, the Celtics hold the No. 3 pick in the draft and have a chance to add a major impact player along with several other picks. With eight picks in the draft, these are the 10 players that the Celtics should target.
