Tim Tebow is supporting Donald Trump.

Tim Tebow was once the man in college. He won the illustrious Heisman Trophy Award in 2007 and was a two time national champion at the University of Florida in 2006 and 2008.

Tebow also had success in the NFL in 2011. That season, Tebow took over the reigns from quarterback Kyle Orton in week five and led the Broncos to a 7-4 regular season record as a full time starter and to a wildcard victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Though with Tebow being unable to find a stable job after the 2011 season, he has taken to other endeavors that include broadcasting. Now Tebow is taking a bold stance. He’s endorsing 2016 Republican nominee, Donald Trump, for President.

According to Vinne Iyer of sportingnews.com, Tebow’s endorsement of Trump is “downright sad.” Iyer also went on to say “Tebow, despite his polarizing career, still had plenty of likeability as someone who could inspire beyond the realm of football for many years to come, no matter his affiliation. That’s all gone out the window as he’ll be headlining athlete speaking at next week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland.”

Tim Tebow’s endorsement of Trump can be seen as not such a great look for the former Heisman Trophy winner. That is because Tebow is known for his charity work and giving back and now he’s supporting someone that seems to use charity for his own greater good. As Trump, “once used charity money to buy a Broncos helmet and jersey signed by Tebow.”
