Kansas State Wildcats football coach Bill Snyder threw shade at his former Big 12 North rival Nebraska Cornhuskers, thinking they regret joining the Big 10.

Kansas State Wildcats head football coach Bill Snyder is royalty in the college game. He is the greatest coach in Kansas State history, turning around a doormat of a Big Eight program in 1989 and making the Wildcats one of the best programs annually in the Big 12. Under Snyder, Kansas State has gone 193-101-1, winning the Big 12 twice and the Big 12 North four times.

While the Big 12 is likely scrambling to add teams to its depleted 10-team conference in the College Football Playoff era through expansion, Snyder still decided to throw some serious shade at former Big 12 North rival of Kansas State in the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Snyder believes that Nebraska regrets moving to the Big 10 and should have stayed in the Big 12.

Snyder clearly misses its Big 12 North rival in Nebraska, telling ESPN, “When push comes to shove, I don’t want to speak for anybody, but I’m not so sure they’re pleased with the decision they made.”

Though Nebraska owns a 78-15-2 record against Kansas State, it became the fiercest football rivalry in the Big 12 North once the conference was formed. Along with Nebraska, Kansas State lost two of its regional football rivals in the Missouri Tigers to the SEC and the Colorado Buffaloes to the Pac-12, respectively.

Now Kansas State’s two biggest rivals on the gridiron are the Kansas Jayhawks and the Iowa State Cyclones. Both Kansas and Iowa State are considered the two worst programs in the Big 12 entering 2016.

Nebraska hasn’t exactly dominated the Big 10 West since changing conferences. The Cornhuskers have only won their division once since joining the Big 10: the then Legends Division in 2012. While the Big 10 West is the less daunting of the two Big 10 divisions, having teams like the Wisconsin Badgers, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Northwestern Wildcats hasn’t helped the Cornhuskers play in conference championship games.
