Wil Myers may be the one notable player the San Diego Padres don’t trade before Monday afternoon’s deadline, and he caught Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey clearly napping on Sunday afternoon.

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Homer Bailey made his 2016 debut on Sunday against the San Diego Padres, after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May of 2015. He pitched fairly well, allowing two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and three walks over 5.2 innings, and he picked up a win to boot.

But in the bottom of the sixth inning, after a two-out walk to right fielder Jabari Blash, Padres’ first baseman Wil Myers did this:

Myers was an All-Star for the first time in his career this year, and he’s now hitting .270 with 20 home runs, 64 RBI and a .487 slugging percentage after Sunday’s game. His shrewd swipe of home plate was one of two steals for him in the game, and Myers now has 19 stolen bases this season. With one more steal, Myers will become the ninth player in Padres’ history to have a 20-20 season.

For Bailey, in his first major league start in over a year, a lesson was surely re-learned about never turning your back to a runner.
