In the new For Honor trailer, we get a glimpse of the three unique factions that players will be able to choose from: the Vikings, Samurais and Knights.

At last year’s E3 show, Ubisoft announced a new hack and slash game called For Honor. The game with its unique style, caught the eye of many gamers and we’ve been waiting to see what else is in store since then. Ubisoft first revealed the game with a cinematic CGI trailer, followed by some gameplay. The gameplay footage, in particular, showcased just how different and unique this game will be.

At E3 2016, we got another fresh look at the game that revealed even more gameplay elements. While it has been categorized as a hack and slash game, For Honor is so much more than that. In most hack and slash games, you mash buttons over and over for results. In For Honor, everything seems calculated and planned. You will need to employ a certain strategy in order to get results, which is very interesting.

Luckily for us, we got a brand-new trailer at Gamescom 2016, which focuses more on the story elements of the game. In the trailer, we got a first look at the factions, three legendary classes that deliver different and unique styles of gameplay. Each of them also has a different story to tell.

The three factions that you’ll be able to choose from are Viking, Samurai and Knight. Each of them employ a different strategy and fighting style. For example, the Vikings are tanks, which can take a lot of damage, but can dish out plenty of their own as well. Samurais are very agile and swift, so they use acrobatic skills and sword fighting to do most of their damage. Lastly, Knights are more traditional; they use a lot of armor but seem more well-rounded as a fighter.

We’ll get our hands on For Honor when it released on Valentines Day, February 14, 2017, on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC’s.
