Pokemon GO hasn’t added natures just yet, but they may be coming soon.

Yes, Pokemon GO still exists. In fact, it’s far more playable now that servers aren’t constantly overloaded as they were in the first few days. Moreover, Niantic is hard at work adding new features to beef up the relatively simple game. Right now, that means some more clarity for the battle system.

According to a Facebook post on the official page, team leaders will now evaluate your Pokemon for you. Users will thus be able to know the Pokemon’s attack and defense capabilities, instead of having to rely solely on the Combat Points metric.

First, this means that combat has become just a little more transparent. While Combat Points does integrate Attack, Defense, and Stamina into its formula, there was no way to determine what each of those values actually were before this update. Right now, the leaders will just tell users the attack and defense stats, as noted by Entertainment Weekly.

Second, it actually gives Candela, Blanche, and Spark something to do for Trainers who join their respective teams. Up until this point, they’ve mostly just been around to entice you to their team and stand in front of the logos for Valor, Mystic, and Instinct. Now, they have actual jobs.

This update represents version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS. The last update added the artwork for Blanche, Candela, and Spark. It also fixed Pokeball accuracy issues and changed the nearby Pokemon user interface.

Unfortunately, trading still hasn’t been implemented in the game just yet. However, Niantic promises that it is hard at work on “several new and exciting features” for the game. Could natures be far behind? Or will more Pokestops get added? Time will tell.
