September 7th is Kevin Love’s 28th birthday, so naturally his Cleveland Cavaliers teammate LeBron James sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to him on his Instagram.
Despite their on-court struggles with playing pretty much the same position for the Cleveland Cavaliers, forwards LeBron James and Kevin Love are now tight after winning the 2016 NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors.
They were the first players to embrace each other after ending Cleveland’s 52-year professional championship drought. If anybody needs more proof of how close these two are nowadays, just check out James singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Love on his Instagram account Wednesday.
To be fair, that’s just a cardboard cutout of Love from when he was a freshman for the UCLA Bruins in 2007. Love did turn 28 on September, 7th, but it’s all about James’ wonderful rendition of the ever-popular birthday song.
Cleveland should again runaway with the NBA’s Eastern Conference in 2016-17. Which team in the East is going to realistically challenge the juggernaut Cavaliers, honestly? The Toronto Raptors? The Indiana Pacers? The Boston Celtics? Not a chance.
If James and Love’s continued bromance stays true throughout 2016-17, Cleveland should be the favorite to win the 2017 NBA Finals, regardless of what the Golden State Warriors did this offseason.

The reason for this is that the Cavaliers’ path to the 2017 NBA Finals is crystal clear as long as a 32-year-old James has his health in May and June. Love came up big for the Cavaliers in pivotal Game 7 in Oakland. Cleveland’s big three of James, Love, and point guard Kyrie Irving should be good enough for the Cavaliers at an honest repeat this summer.
