A fan ran onto the field on Monday night as the Rams and 49ers were playing and Kevin Harlan called it like a champ

The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams played football on Monday night. Alright, well, for the most part, they tried to play a good football game, but things didn’t quite work out that well. It’s mostly the fault of the Rams being terribly awful, but this second Monday Night Football game of the opening weekend was anything but eventful.

Really, one of the more eventful things that took place on Monday night during this game was a fan running onto the field, which of course wasn’t paid much attention to by the ESPN broadcasting crew. You know who did pay attention to it, though? That was Westwood One play-by-play man Kevin Harlan, who may have had the call of the year.

Just listen to Harlan call the fan running onto the field like he’s calling the Super Bowl.

There are certain ways to handle a fan running onto the field of play, but really, this is literally one of the best things that you will hear all year. Do you wanna see a game interrupted because some doofus decides to try and make himself famous? No, but when something like this gets added in, you really can’t be all that upset about it.

Harlan saw the perfect opportunity here to create a highlight for himself, and by god, that man went right out there and did just that. He is one of the best broadcasters in all of sports, we’ve known that for a while now, but this takes him to a whole other level.

Now, it doesn’t make it seem so bad that this game Monday night was maybe one of the worst football games we’ll see all year. Thank you, Mr. Harlan.
