Launch trailer for Destiny expansion Rise of Iron (Video)

With the newest Destiny expansion, Rise of Iron. launching next Tuesday, the official launch trailer has been released and it looks awesome.

The behind the critically acclaimed series Halo decided to take their talents and work on an entirely new game. In 2014, Bungie released Destiny, a first-person shooter that had many similar mechanics and gameplay elements to that of Halo, but it was an entirely new experience all together.

Although the game was met with a lot of negative reviews due to under performing and delivering on certain aspects, such as the lack of a story line, repetitive gameplay, and the lack of content, a year later, Bungie released an expansion known as The Taken King. In this expansion, much of the core gameplay was changed an it included a variety of content, such as the other two downloadable packages The Dark Below and House of Wolves. Many feel that this was the game they wanted at launch, but they were still glad to be able to play Destiny at its best.

Now, a year later, Bungie is gearing up to release a new expansion next Tuesday known as Rise of Iron. In this brand-new expansion, many new features and content will be added to the game. Check out the launch trailer below to get a better idea of what to expect:

Officially the fourth expansion for Destiny, Rise of Iron will add an entirely new campaign for players to experience. There will also be new missions to play, new Player versus Environments locations, new mutli-player maps for players to play against each other, and new equipment and player gears, like weapons and armor. Players will also be able test their skills in the new raid that will come the expansion.

But, the biggest news about the new expansion is the addition of private matches. Finally, players can party up in a custom lobby with custom rulesets and play against each other in a private match. Private matches released this past Tuesday and you don’t need the new expansion to use this new mode.

Rise of Iron is set to release on September 20, 2016.
