The BYU Cougars offered a touching tribute to the two Michigan State players that died tragically this year.

It’s been an incredibly tough year for the Michigan State program. Mike Sadler was tragically killed in a car accident before the season and Mylan Hicks was shot and killed a couple of weeks ago. It’s been tremendously difficult for the program to focus on football, when their brothers have fallen. On Saturday, the Spartans are going to honor Hicks. With thoughts and prayers with him and along with Sadler, the BYU Cougars paid a touching tribute of their own.

The Cougars placed two sets of roses at the six and at the three. The silent tribute from BYU spoke to the class and respect shown. Every program the Spartans has faced this year has paid respect to the team’s loss in some form of another.

The Spartans are off to a tough start this season, but that is the furthest thing from their minds. While they have to focus on the game that they love, being their to support each other is more important. That’s why programs like BYU and everyone else Michigan State has faced recognizes that and have paid tribute.
