After Missouri scored a touchdown against South Carolina on Saturday afternoon, Mizzou QB Drew Locke got a water bottle thrown at him. He did what anyone else would do: Hydrate himself.

Quarterback Drew Locke and the Missouri Tigers had just tied their game with the South Carolina Gamecocks at 14 when the Gamecock faithful wanted to show their appreciation of Locke’s play.

A fan from the South Carolina student section threw a water bottle onto the field towards Locke. Needing a drink after a long drive that resulted in six points, Locke did what he should have: He took to hydrating himself.

Locke took the bottle and drank out of it in one of the weirdest, yet best moments of this week’s action in college football.

The best part was the commentary of the SEC Network booth working the game in South Carolina.

If you watch Locke drinking out of the bottle again, you’ll probably hear them say that they’re not sure it’s water. It did come from the student section, so … they may have a logical point here.

Regardless if the liquid in the bottle was actually just water or something else, Locke played it off as well as any opponent on the road could. It was a perfect rebuttal to a dumb action from a fan.

As for the game itself, it’s been competitive for two SEC East teams that likely won’t have a chance to win the division and a shot at No. 1 Alabama in Atlanta during the SEC Championship Game, which isn’t exactly a bad thing because the Tide are fairly good.

For the fans throwing things at Locke and the rest of the Mizzou players today, just don’t. You’ll probably get caught and get ejected from the stadium. Be smarter.
