The Washington Huskies show their appreciation for the United States military with a slick helmet they will wear for their game against the USC Trojans.

Veterans Day was on Friday in the United States of America. This under-appreciated national holiday falls on November 11 every year, commemorating the end of World War I.

In honor of the 98th anniversary of the end of World War I, many college football teams will pay tribute to the armed services this weekend. The Washington Huskies are playing in the biggest game in Week 11 against the USC Trojans. Here is the slick helmet that Washington football will be wearing on Saturday in support of the United States military.

It’s an all-black helmet with the iconic Washington W shaded with an American flag. Washington rarely does anything flashy with its uniforms. However, it is pure class in its helmet for Saturday night’s game against the USC Trojans.

Washington is the No. 4 team in the country at an undefeated 9-0 on the season. The Huskies are poised to make their first trip to the College Football Playoff. They have a Heisman Trophy contender in sophomore quarterback Jake Browning and an elite head coach in Chris Petersen.

The Huskies are facing an up-and-coming USC team led by head coach Clay Helton. The Trojans have found themselves in recent weeks and seem to be one of the better teams in the Pac-12 South.

Should the Huskies win at home, they will improve to an impressive 10-0 on the year. Washington still has a few more weeks to prove itself in the Pac-12, but for now, has the look of a team capable of making it to the College Football Playoff.
