Here’s how you can watch the Jackson State vs Baylor matchup from Fort Hood Saturday.
Baylor has been one of the hottest teams in the country to start the season. The Bears arguably have the strongest resume of any team in the nation thus far, beating Michigan State, Louisville, Oregon and Xavier already to jump to No. 4.
The Bears are looking to remain unbeaten and improve to 10-0 on the season with a win over an overwhelmingly inferior Jackson State team. This is the type of matchup that can get ugly very early on.
Johnathan Motley has clearly been the team’s top player this season and he is a living, breathing double-double. He’s averaging 16.8 points and 8.4 assists per game and he isn’t afraid to shoot the three, either.
Jackson State is not having the best season early on, though. The Tigers are just 3-7 through their first 10 games and they haven’t been doing anything exceptionally well. They’ve won two of three games, but they’ll still be in for a long day against Baylor.
There’s a good reason this team has been struggling. You don’t have to dig too deep into the stats to realize that the Tigers are a poor offensive team, averaging just 63 points per game and they allow nearly 70 per game.
Shooting is not a strength, either. They make about 27 percent of their three-pointers and 36 percent of their field goals. Yettra Specks leads the team in scoring with 13.5 points per game and he’s shooting 40 percent from the field.
