ON LAST TIME’S EXCITING EPISODE OF NBA BASKETBALL! The Dallas Mavericks took on the Philadelphia 76ers in their home city of Dallas, but the evil Philadelphia 76ers stood in their way. Led by Wesley Matthews, the Mavericks did what they could to hold on, but with a close contest entering halftime, things looked dire.

Will Dallas be able to come out on top? Find out on today’s episode of NBA basketball.

Yes, that is Matthews dressed up as Goku from Dragonball Z. Yes, he is shooting a Kamehameha wave at his opponents with defensive highlight being played as the Dragonball Z intro runs in the background. Yes, the video does indeed end with the phrase “Wesley Matthews is turning Super Saiyan.” All of these things are factual.

You know what else happened? After halftime, the Mavs pulled out to a commanding lead in the third quarter. It seems Mavericks fans giving their energy to the team paid off in a big way in what ended up being an easy victory for them.

This is just another example of the Dallas social media team killing it. Their video crew is the best in the league with incredible content relatable to all ages, whether it involves Dirk Nowitzki being in an anchorman parody or in this case appealing to everybody under the age of 30 that grew up with DBZ on their television sets. Considering Matthews is exactly 30-years-old, he’s right on the edge of young enough to remember rushing home after school to see what terrible monster the Z Warriors had to defeat next. The show was flashy, loud, obnoxious and featured a lot of hair but dammit if it wasn’t a huge part of many of our childhoods.

Now someone has to go ask Matthews the tough questions following the game: Is he team Vegeta or team Goku?
