Carson Palmer announces he’s returning for 2017 season
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has officially announced that he is returning for the 2017 season.
After a disappointing 2016 season, the Arizona Cardinals had to worry about their two key players retiring. With both Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer near the end of their careers, the Cardinals were awaiting their decisions for the 2017 season. On Thursday, Palmer officially announced that he will once again be lining up under center for the Cardinals. Arizona feels their 2016 season was just a major case of bad luck after the three great seasons they had with Palmer prior.

If the Cardinals want a chance at a Super Bowl in 2017, then Palmer is far and away their best chance at it. When he’s clicking and the offense is firing on all cylinders, the Cardinals are one of the toughest teams to beat.
The team finally got going on a roll in the final two weeks of the season, when they won their third game in Seattle in four years and obliterated the Los Angeles Rams in the final week of the season. That has led to optimism that the Cardinals have found their groove again.
The team will go as far as Palmer takes them and he was playing his best football in the second half of the season. The team has gone out of the way to keep him fresh for Sundays and head coach Bruce Arians feels they can achieve the ultimate goal with him as their quarterback. With plenty of uncertainties about the future, this is a great piece of news for the Cardinals.
