Jose Canseco is really scared about robots.

Machines are playing a more prominent role in all our lives. They even invented self-driving cars. Sure, robots help increase productivity and eliminate the possibility of human error. However, not all people are thrilled about this. Count former Bash Brother and MLB slugger Jose Canseco as a member of the anti-robot club.

Canseco went on an epic twitter rant, noting how robots will destroy us (slowly and painfully). Canseco notes they’re stealing our jobs. While this is true, they also make things much more efficient. Canseco has never been one to delete tweets, but in case he does, here’s an screenshot of the utter chaos. Fair warning, he uses some NSFW language:

If this was Fallout 4, it’s safe to say he’d be a member of the Brotherhood of Steel. Canseco never has a dull moment on Twitter, but this easily ranks in his top rants of all time. It’s almost coherent at times, but mostly, it’s just some epic rambling.

Canseco raises some decent points. After all, it’s not false that robots are taking jobs from humans. But, as he notes, machines and robots are more efficient and productive than humans. Also, most of them do tasks humans would find either dangerous or tiring. A lot of what they do tends to be repetitive as well. But the results can’t be argued with. They’re more productive than humans. At the end of the day, that’s what’s good for business.

It’s sort of sad this is how people will remember Canseco because he was one heck of a ballplayer. In the 1980s, he formed the infamous Bash Brothers with Mark McGwire. With the Oakland Athletics, they took the league by storm. They even managed to win a World Series in 1989. But now Canseco has resorted to melting down on Twitter.
