March Madness 2017 Sweet 16: Tip times, TV schedule
Here are the tip-off times and TV info for every game being played on Thursday and Friday for the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16.
We’re about to head into that worst of Monday hangovers – the first day without way too many NCAA tournament games in about a week. After the manic pace of the Tournament’s first four days, we’ll get a chance to breathe – and reassess our lives – before the Sweet 16 starts to hit us next Thursday.
With the upsets we had – and nearly had – in the Round of 32, your bracket is probably busted or on life support. Duke, Villanova, Louisville, and Florida State went down, and just about every other top seed besides Kansas could have lost their Round of 32 game. It was high-intensity basketball, probably best enjoyed by those who just want to watch the world burn.
Michigan looks poised to go on another run, the mighty ACC has just 1 team left in the dance, and Scott Drew MIGHT be a good coach.

There are plenty of storylines and analysis to come in the following days. Much of it will probably be a bit premature – we tend to overreact and over-narratize the first few days of the Tournament. But it will be needed to fill the vacuum on the next three days, until the first Sweet 16 game tips off on Thursday. Sure, you could watch the NIT or something. But we all know it won’t be enough to satisfy your true craving for capital T-ournament basketball. In that spirit, we’ve got the tip times and TV schedule for all of the Sweet 16 games upcoming on Thursday and Friday.
You really can’t go wrong for choice once you get to the Sweet 16. You’ll have Xavier looking to keep the magic going as an 11-seed, and Michigan looking to firebomb its way to the Elite 8. You’ve got an incredible clash between blue bloods old and new as a resurgent UCLA and Kentucky meet. Really, you’ve got the best basketball of the year, and all the joy and regret that go with them.
We got our upsets – now, we’re really just craving more good basketball. Get here soon, Thursday.
