Legendary WWE commentator and pro wrestling Jim Ross announced on Tuesday that his wife, Jan, was involved in a serious accident on her Vespa

Jim Ross is certainly among the most beloved personalities in the history of WWE and professional wrestling. That’s a distinction he’s wholly deserving of as his voice was there to call some of the most memorable moments in the history of the industry. What’s more, his iconic calls, phrases and voice are still referenced to this day when talking about how a moment would be better with JR calling it.

That all makes it more heartbreaking that Jim Ross’ wife, Jan, was involved in a serious accident some time between Monday and early Tuesday.

According to TMZ, who spoke to JR, Jan was riding her Vespa scooter to the gym from their home when she was hit by a car. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and, suffered “multiple skull fractures” as a result of the accident.

She was taken to the hospital immediately, where JR then sent out a tweet to inform his fans of the horrible news. Even more gut-wrenching was the dire tone of his message, saying that he and Jan “need a miracle:”

This is absolutely horrible to hear as both Jim and Jan Ross are among those in and around the wrestling industry that are almost wholly respected and loved by both fans and colleagues. You don’t want anyone to experience something of this nature, but it’s particularly difficult to hear involving someone like Good Ol’ JR.

Since his update about her being in surgery, there has been on update from Jim Ross on Twitter aside from a simple “Thx,” assumedly in response to the outpouring of love and well wishes from his fans. Our thoughts are certainly with Jim and Jan Ross following this accident. Hopefully they indeed get that miracle.
