John Ross

WR, Washington

The Baltimore Ravens are doing everything they can to stay relevant in the AFC North, bolstering their defensive secondary this offseason. The Ravens brought in Tony Jefferson from Arizona to play safety, and inked cornerback Brandon Carr to a four-year deal. Brandon Williams signed a huge deal to remain with the team, giving the Ravens a solid core of defensive players for next season.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Ravens had their worst loss of the offseason, as wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. retired from the game. His efforts on and off the field will be hard to replace, but drafting a player like John Ross in the first round could lessen that blow. Ross broke the NFL Scouting Combine record with a 40-yard dash time of 4.22, and Joe Flacco and his big arm would like nothing more than to throw him so go-routes this season.

Baltimore signed Danny Woodhead this offseason, so that should give them another quality weapon on offense. Woodhead is coming off a torn ACL, so it will be interesting to see how productive he is out of the gate. Still, Baltimore should be very tough on defense, and they have proven in the past that they can win Super Bowls behind a strong defense, and quality players on the other side of the ball.
