With the 2017 NFL regular season schedule coming out, here is the slate of games for Monday Night Football.

The NFL is again making a televised prime time event out of their regular season schedule release, and Thursday night is the night for 2017. NFL Network and ESPN will both have schedule release programming on their air, with predictions each analyst has no chance of being held accountable for during the week before the draft in April.

Monday Night Football has been a weekly institution since 1970. 2017 will already be ESPN’s 12th season doing the games each Monday night, and this ill be Sean McDonough’s second campaign as play-by-play man alongside Jon “Spider-2, Y-Banana” Gruden.

Here is the slate of Monday night games NFL fans can look forward to this year.

Week 1 (Early Game): New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings
Week 1 (Late Game): Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos
Week 2: Detroit Lions at New York Giants
Week 3: Dallas Cowboys at Arizona Cardinals
Week 4: Washington Redskins at Kansas City Chiefs
Week 5: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
Week 6: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
Week 7: Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles
Week 8: Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Week 9: Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
Week 10: Miami Dolphins at Carolina Panthers
Week 11: Atlanta Falcons at Seattle Seahawks
Week 12: Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens
Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
Week 14: New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
Week 15: Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 16: Oakland Raiders at Philadelphia Eagles

ESPN is airing a Week 1 Monday night double-header once again this year, starting with a 2010 (2009 season) NFC Championship Game rematch between the Vikings and the Saints. Mike McCoy is back as Broncos’ offensive coordinator, after being fired as head coach of the Chargers, and between now and Week 1 we’ll find out who Denver’s starting quarterback will be for the final game of the opening week on the schedule.

ESPN does not have the ability to flex out of a bad-looking Monday night game, so the final weeks sometimes feature dud contests with no implications for the playoffs. But Monday Night Football is still appointment viewing on a frequent basis, and a great invention by ABC and the NFL back in the day to boost visibility and of course the bottom line.
