Each off-season the NFL landscape changes dramatically with every coaching change across the league.  This past season eight NFL head coaches were terminated, while an additional seven NFL teams made changes at offensive coordinator. How does that impact your Fantasy Football plays?

With 46 percent of the league changing offensive systems this off-season, I am going to breakdown each of these new play-callers, their tendencies and how it will impact each team this coming season, and how it will impact your Fantasy Football plays.

Fantasy Football Play Caller Profile:

The Dolphins decided to follow the Patriot way literally as they hired Brian Flores who brought with him Patriot wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea to call plays for him down in Miami. In what has become a very bizarre move this off-season, O’Shea is another first-time offensive coordinator at any level. With no previous play-calling experience, we will have to take a guess based on his previous stops and head coach philosophy.

O’Shea has been coaching in the NFL since 2003 with stops in Kansas City under Al Saunders then traveling to Minnesota in which he worked under Brad Childress and Darrell Bevell before his latest stint in New England from 2009-2018. Head Coach Brian Flores has been with the Patriots his entire coaching career (2004-2018).

With the information that we have gathered, I would guess there will be a heavy New England offensive flavor to Chad O’Shea’s inaugural offensive system. The main points of emphasis will be on running the football, with a short to intermediate passing attack working in the middle of the field heavily. I would expect the running backs to be heavily involved in the passing game along with its slot receivers.
