Man, oh man, there was some good football in Week 11. There were also a couple of injuries that had fantasy owners holding their breath. Sorry, Gronkowski owners, you will probably still be holding you breath as you read this article.

Apparently there’s now a Quarterback controversy in Jacksonville. Geez, what a game from Chad Henne. That being said, we cannot forget about Matt Schaub and his day in which he passed for the 2nd most all-time yardage in a game (527 yards.) Wow.

Bye weeks are over and so you may not need my help as much as previous weeks but that won’t stop me! I’m here to tell you who the 10 best waiver wire targets are this week and that’s what I’m going to do! Let’s go!

1. Chad Henne, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars– Owned in 0.5% of leagues (ESPN) I had completely forgot about this guy! So, all he did was go into Houston and complete 16 passes on 33 attempts for 354 yards and 4 touchdowns. No big deal. Jacksonville has already said Henne is going to start Week 12 against a pedestrian Titans defense (when compared to the Texans, and we all know what happened there!) For anyone with a question mark or injury at QB, make a beeline and go grab The Chad.

2. Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots – Owned in 0.7% of leagues (ESPN) I personally don’t like this guy, I think he’s conceited and I used to think it was for no apparent reason. Turns out he’s pretty good. Still don’t like him. Regardless though, Edelman had a day this past Sunday. He caught 5 passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. He rushed once for 47 yard and a touchdown and he returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown. If your league counts Special Teams play, heck, even if it doesn’t count Special Teams play, this guy deserves a spot on your roster. The Patriots released Deion Branch and they’ve severely cut Brandon Lloyd’s playing time. Edelman played 51 out of 62 offensive snaps for New England on Sunday. That’s crazy!

3. Justin Blackmon, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars – Owned in 44.6% of league (ESPN) I drafted Mr. Blackmon twice this season and I promptly dropped him twice this season. He certainly made up for lost time in Week 11 against the Texans. Dude had 7 catches for 236 yards and a touchdown. For those playing the home game, Blackmon averaged 33.7 yards per catch. Scary. With Gabbert out and homes against Tennessee, New York Jets, and an away game at Buffalo, Blackmon could string together a few nice games heading into Fantasy Playoffs.

4. Marcel Reece, RB, Oakland Raiders– Owned in 32.8% of leagues (ESPN) The Peanut Butter Cup himself DOMINATED against the Saints. Granted, the Raiders still lost as they tend to do. But Marcel Reece was a handful. Starting in place of the injured Darren McFadden, Mike Goodson and the widely ineffective Taiwan Jones, Reece carried the ball 19 times for 103 yards and added 4 catches for 90 yards. What?! Stellar game all around. It looks like he’s found himself a role in the offense warranting fantasy consideration even with the inevitable return of Run DMC.

5. Ronnie Hillman, RB, Denver Broncos– Owned in 0.9% of leagues (ESPN) Willis McGahee is out a reported 6-8 weeks with an MCL tear. Unfortunately I’m a McGahee owner. But how fortuitous that we all know Ronnie Hillman is fast and talented. He should see the majority of the carries with McGahee out. Denver still has Lance Ball and Knowshon Moreno sticking their noses in the business, but Hillman has the most potential here. He also had 43 yards on 12 carries Sunday which is decent.

6. Davone Bess, WR, Miami Dolphins – Owned in 17.0% of leagues (ESPN) One of my favorite players that nobody has. Well, 17.0% of us have him. He ‘lit’ the Bills up last Thursday night with 6 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. The score was 19-14…not a ton of igniting play. The thing with Bess, and I’ve said this a lot, is that he’s consistent. He’s not too flashy and he doesn’t put up “elite” numbers but he’s consistent and that’s beneficial in the world of Fantasy Football.

7. Garrett Graham, TE, Houston Texans – Owned in 0.3% of leagues (ESPN) Jimmy Graham apparently plays for the Houston Texans and goes by the unassuming name of Garrett. This guy, out of nowhere, is taking the Houston passing attack by storm (Andre Johnson aside.) It helps that Owen Daniels has been in and out of the lineup. But nevertheless, Graham had 8 catches for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns against Jacksonville. And he looked good. Check him out!

8. Dallas Clark, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Owned in 3.7% of leagues (ESPN) There he is! We’ve missed you Dallas. While he still doesn’t have Peyton Manning throwing him the ball, Josh Freeman has found ways to win games. Clark’s one of the beneficiaries of Freeman’s play. He’s been quiet but effective the last two weeks catching a touchdown in back-to-back games. He also had 7 catches for 58 yards this past week. Reggie Wayne isn’t the only dinosaur who can produce!

9. Marcedes Lewis, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars– Owned in 5.7% of leagues (ESPN) Look what happens when Jacksonville gets a reliable passer under center! I know I shouldn’t put too much stock in Jacksonville. They’re still one of the top three worst teams in the NFL after all. But, seriously, Lewis was fantasy-relevant when Garrard was there and he will be as long as Chad Henne remains the starter. Lewis had 3 catches for 40 yards and 2 touchdowns this past week. I smell a trend.

10. Kyle Williams, WR, San Francisco 49ers – Owned in 0.1% of leagues (ESPN) Call me crazy. This is just a shot in the dark, however, this guy is a burner and he faces the New Orleans Saints defense next week. It doesn’t matter whether Alex Smith or Colin Kaepernick is starting for San Francisco, Kyle Williams will catch passes and return kicks. He had 2 catches for 60 yards last night against the Bears. The Bears defense is good. The Saints defense is bad. You figure it out.
