The Kansas City Chiefs have finally named their new general manager. Per multiple reports, the team has announced that John Dorsey will serve as the new manager in Kansas City. The move did not come as a shot to anyone.

Dorsey has spent 22 years in NFL player personnel and served as the Green Bay Packers Director of Football Operations in 2012.

It is the third consecutive season that the Packers have lost one of Ted Thompson’s most trusted co-workers. In 2011, John Schneider left Green Bay to become the Seattle Seahawks general manager. Reggie McKenzie became GM of the Oakland Raiders in 2012 and now Dorsey is on his way to Kansas City.

Chiefs fans should be ecstatic about the hire. Dorsey is one of football’s better minds and he is an incredible talent evaluator.
