With the 2013 NHL schedule being released, we are starting to focus on some key dates from the NHL calendar.
The action-packed 48 game schedule will go on until late June and has forced the league to change their initial draft plans. The NHL has agreed on a date for the 2013 NHL Draft that will begin soon after the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Finals, which could run through June 28.
Instead of the normal two-round event, the NHL will host a one day draft marathon on June 30.
