The Detroit Lions are the first stop on Reggie Bush’s free agent tour and it may end up being the only place he visits. The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly very interested in signing Bush, but he may end up being too rich for their blood when the dust settles. For days now the Lions have been the favored landing spot for Bush so it comes as no surprise that they are the first leg of his tour.

If Bush does land in Detroit, he’s expected to split carries with Mikel Leshoure whom the Lions are devoted to making their feature back. But Bush is a specialist who can not only split carries with Leshoure but can return kicks and help keep the Lions foot on the offensive pedal pace-wise during games in 2013.

However, the Cardinals are very interested in adding Bush and he’s a perfect fit for the system they’re going to run under Bruce Arians. But the talk around the Cardinals remains the fact that the Lions may simply outbid him if they have to, but the Cardinals aren’t going to give up on Bush without a fight.

Detroit will have the first crack at Bush so it will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to make him an offer he can’t refuse.
