The Houston Texans have been in need of help at the safety position for the past few seasons and it appears that they have their eyes set on one free agent as a potential fix to those problems. Reports surfaced yesterday that Baltimore Ravens free agent safety Ed Reed would be looking at his options and making a visit to the Houston Texans. Now, we are learning just how serious the Texans are about landing Reed.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday morning on SportsCenter that Texans owner Bob McNair has brought out the big dogs for this one.

McNair sent his private jet to pick up Reed before today’s visit.

The Ravens are hoping to lock Reed up to play free safety next to Danieal Manning. With their effort in full force, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Texans get their man.
