The trade isn’t making waves the way others have this season, but the Indianapolis Colts have become trade partners with the Philadelphia Eagles once again. This time, the Colts have acquire fullback Stanley Havili from the Philadelphia Eagles straight up in exchange for defensive end Clifton Geathers.
The #Eagles trade FB Stanley Havili to the #Colts for Clifton Geathers. A player for player trade. Rare.

The move to trade Havili to the Colts is a direct result of new head coach Chip Kelly’s dislike for fullbacks. Kelly prefers to lineup a tight end in the backfield and the acquisition of James Casey this offseason signaled the end for Havili with the Eagles. In return they get a mountain of a defensive end in Geathers who has yet to fully find his footing in the NFL. A sixth-round pick back in 2010, Geathers has spent time with the Browns, Seahawks, Cowboys, and Colts in his short career and is hoping to finally have found a permanent home with the Eagles.
