If Zack Greinke’s injury or overall poor performance has left you combing the waiver wire for starting pitching, there’s some great plug-and-play options schedule to go on Saturday. Each day of the season, you can find spot starter options for a quick boost or options to plug in to a slot your streaming throughout the season. The results of our picks from the previous week are at the bottom of the page, and here’s a trio of nice pickups for Saturday:

Possible Pickups

Apr 7, 2013; Denver, CO, USA; Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin (45) delivers to the plate during the fourth inning against the San Diego Padres Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The Rockies defeated the Padres 9-1. Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Jhoulys Chacin-Colorado Rockies: (20.6%) Chacin has had two solid starts this year allowing one earned run in each start which lasted identical 6 2/3 innings. He struck out two last time out at home against the Padres who he faces again on Saturday this time at pitcher-friendly Petco as he looks to get his second win and continue his early season form.

Garrett Richards-Los Angeles Angels: (0.1%) Richards slides into Jered Weaver’s spot in the rotation and draws a great first start as the Angels host the Astros on Saturday night. Richards has been inconsistent in his starts, but he’s definitely usable in this matchup. He may not go deep into the game since he’s just in from the bullpen, but he’s worth a flier or at least watching to see how he reacts to being inserted into the rotation.

Jose Fernandez-Miami Marlins: (47.1%) Fernandez struck out eight over five strong innings in his Major League debut his last start out. Saturday night he’ll face the Phillies in Miami as he opposes Cole Hamels. Hamels can definitely be dominant but has started the year 0-2 with an ERA over 10. Fernandez should be able to limit the damage and pick up a bunch of K’s, although with the lowest scoring lineup in the MLB, don’t count on a win. If you need strikeouts and long-term upside, he’s the best pick on the list. The other two make better one-day additions.
